John Francis Martin - Biography

 

John Martin graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena with a B.F.A in Illustration in 1995.  He subsequently began a career as a freelance commercial artist, fine artist and art instructor.  In 2002, John earned his Masters of Art degree in drawing and painting from California State University, Los Angeles. 

As a freelance illustrator, portraitist, and muralist, John has worked for clients including MCA Records, McGraw-Hill Publishing, The Franklin Mint, the Skyroom Bar in Long Beach, Cal State Los Angeles University and many others.  Concurrently, John has pursued a fine art career and has exhibited his work in shows throughout Southern California.

In addition, John has a long-established teaching career. Through a span of over 15 years, John has had the opportunity to teach every level of student, from kindergarten through college.
